Job description

GFL Environmental is looking for a G/DZ/AZ Commercial Box Truck Operator to join our growing liquid team out of our Brantford location. The Commercial driver will require a high level of motivation, professionalism, and customer service, which will be used to consistently build positive customer relationships and to promote GFL’s wide range of service offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for daily pre and post trip inspections of trucks assigned.
• Complete daily routes as assigned by the Operations Manager.
• Provide exceptional on-site service to customers and promote GFL’s service offerings.
• Operate a box truck, deliver products, and pick up commercial wastes such as oil filters, plastics, drums of automotive fluids, and other related products. Service Parts washers/Spray Gun Machines.
• Complete service paperwork in accordance with GFL and TDG regulations. Ensure regular cleaning and maintenance of truck cab, components, and equipment.
• Participate in GFL’s safety programs including safety meetings, risk assessments, and job hazard assessments.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

• G/DZ/AZ Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract.
• DZ/AZ - Ability to drive manual transmission (Required).
• Available full-time for day shifts (8-10 hours).
• Exceptional organizational skills with task prioritization, multitasking, and time management.
• Able to work independently.
• Customer service experience.
• Self-motivated attitude.
• Experience in safety-sensitive environments.
• Willingness to work out of town with potential overnights.
• Flexible and dependable.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain professionalism in difficult situations.
