Job summary

XTL Transport Inc. is seeking a dynamic Class 1 Driver for our U.S. division based in Vaudreuil. The role requires a valid Class 1 license, US driving experience, CFTR experience, and a clean criminal search.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class 1 license (mandatory).
• 1 year of Class 1 driving experience / 6 months CFTR experience (mandatory).
• Clear Criminal search (mandatory).
• 6 months of US experience (mandatory).
• Clean Drive Abstract preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive tractors and move freight safely as directed.
• Maintain compliance with XTL policies and transport regulations.
• Establish positive relationships with account contacts.
• Complete all necessary paperwork accurately.
• Collaborate with dispatch to drive dedicated routes.
• Log hours and drive activity using e-log system.
• Maintain a positive attitude with customers.
• Maneuver trucks for loading/unloading and verify delivery instructions.

Requirements

• Must have valid Class 1 License - mandatory

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive tractors and move freight in a safe and responsible manner assigned by XTL Transport Inc. , while in compliance with all laws and transportation regulations while maintaining a safe driving record.
• Maintain compliance with XTL Transport policies and procedures, while working safely.
• As an XTL Driver Ambassador, establish and maintain positive working relationships with the primary contacts at each account
• Complete all necessary paperwork fully and accurately
• In collaboration with the dispatch team, get the opportunity to drive dedicated routes
• Able to keep an activities e-log and log hours efficiently
• Maintain a positive attitude towards customers
• Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
