Joel Vachon Trucking, a division of CJ Equipment Sales & Service, is seeking a dependable and experienced A/Z Truck Driver for a full-time, local haul position. This role involves safely operating a truck and pup to transport mine ore between local sites efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport raw materials (mine ore) between local processing facilities.
  • Operate truck and pup combinations with precision, ensuring cargo security and vehicle control.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections; perform basic preventative maintenance.
  • Follow assigned routes and ensure timely, secure deliveries.
  • Accurately complete and maintain required logbooks (HOS, mileage, fuel, maintenance).
  • Load and unload materials in compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Follow delivery instructions and verify shipment details upon receipt.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, provincial transportation regulations, and company safety policies.
  • Promptly report any accidents, mechanical issues, or safety concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Valid A/Z driver’s license with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Proven experience operating truck and pup configurations.
  • In-depth knowledge of Ontario’s transportation and road safety regulations.
  • Physically fit and capable of working long hours in various environmental conditions.
  • Proficient in using Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) and related technologies.
  • Reliable, professional, and committed to safety.
  • Willingness to travel for occasional out-of-town hauls.
  • Able to provide professional references.
