  • Bulk liquid experience is an asset.

Job description

GFL is seeking a full-time AZ driver to support operations in Niagara Falls, ON. The AZ Driver will be responsible for loading trucks, transporting bulk products and waste, and reporting directly to the transportation manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate all company vehicles and equipment following company policies, procedures, and legislation in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Complete daily documents including pre/post trip inspections, manifests, and logbooks to ensure compliance.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and be available for emergency, weekend, after-hours, and holiday work.
  • Maintain vehicles and equipment, including minor mechanical issues and cleanliness.
  • Represent the company professionally with customers, suppliers, regulatory bodies, and colleagues.
  • Follow all health, safety, environmental, and administrative policies, including those from customers or third parties.
  • Attend and complete required training.
  • Assist other departments as needed, including Waste Management and Dust Suppression, and perform secondary duties in Operations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:

  • Valid AZ license with current abstracts, CVOR.
  • At least 1 year of driver/operator experience, familiar with tanker operation.
  • Bulk liquid experience is an asset.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of TDGA, Reg. 347/558, WMHIS, MTO regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good judgment, proactive thinking, and mechanical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service and a positive work ethic.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada.
