Job description

Ecolab is seeking an experienced and dedicated AZ Company Driver to join our team. In this full-time, year-round position, you will be responsible for safely delivering chemical products to various industries in Ontario and Quebec. If you enjoy traveling and meeting new people, you might be the person we are looking for!

What You Will Do:

  • Safely operate vehicles, including delivery trucks, tank trucks, and over-the-road trucks
  • Maintain trucks and equipment in safe and operable condition
  • Perform daily and periodic mechanical and safety inspections
  • Load trailers and plan delivery schedules based on customer orders
  • Ensure accurate delivery documentation and operate in compliance with regulations for hazardous materials
  • Maintain driver's hours of service using SamSara ELD reporting
  • Communicate regularly with sales and supervisors to report issues and safety hazards
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Wear appropriate safety gear during deliveries
  • Stay current on safety techniques and continuously improve driving and safety skills
  • Identify and avoid safety hazards in the work environment

Position Details:

  • Based in Burlington, ON, with travel throughout Ontario (Sarnia, Sudbury, Belleville, Toronto, and surrounding areas)
  • Possible out-of-province travel to Quebec as needed
  • Deliveries scheduled Monday to Friday, with some overtime
  • Up to 3-4 nights of overnight travel per week based on customer needs

Successful completion of an 8-week paid training program, including classroom and in-field training, is required to maintain employment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Current Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with relevant endorsements
  • At least 3 years of commercial driving experience
  • Acceptable motor vehicle record for the past 5 years
  • Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • No immigration sponsorship available for this role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual or strong French communication skills
  • Experience with forklifts, drum dollies, trailer hoists, chemical pumps, hoses
  • Experience handling various packages including drums and totes
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and hazardous materials transportation laws
