Are you a motivated and reliable owner-operator with a single-axle tractor-trailer looking for a consistent local opportunity?

Position: AZ Owner Operator - City Pickup & Delivery

We are seeking an AZ Owner Operator with knowledge of Barrie and surrounding areas for city pickup and delivery. This is an excellent opportunity to partner with a stable and expanding organization where your hard work and commitment are recognized and rewarded.

Responsibilities:

1. Pickup and deliver freight within the Barrie service area, adhering to company policies and procedures.
2. Efficiently and safely handle LTL freight.
3. Prioritize shipments to meet critical commitments and ensure reliable deliveries.
4. Collaborate with dispatch and dock personnel to ensure timely delivery.
5. Load and unload your own truck.
6. Maintain availability for daily work assignments.
7. Provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications:

• AZ license with a clean abstract.
• Single-axle tractor preferred; tandem considered.
• Own a newer equipment (2017 or newer).
• WSIB coverage.
• At least 1 year of experience.
• Reliable and dependable.
• TDG, WHMIS, and forklift experience are assets but willing to train.
• Ability to provide criminal record check, driver’s abstract, and 3 work references.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Starting wage of $40/hour, approximately 10 hours/day.
• Incentive-based environment with potential to earn more.
• Cap on fuel at $0.50/litre.
