Job summary

Compunnel Inc. is seeking an AWS-based application developer in Downtown Calgary to build and support serverless, event-driven applications. You will work on backend services using AWS Lambda/Step Functions, Java/Spring Boot, and TypeScript, with Terraform for IaC, in a collaborative enterprise setting.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, with 4–8 years of experience, and comfortable with production support, Agile practices, and cross-team collaboration. Onsite work is required 5 days/week.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of hands-on development experience.
• Built AWS serverless applications using Lambda, Step Functions, Java/Spring Boot, and TypeScript.
• Terraform / IaC experience.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and enterprise integrations.
• Willing to work onsite 5 days/week in Downtown Calgary.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support serverless backend services on AWS.
• Implement integration-heavy solutions using Java/Spring Boot and TypeScript.
• Design and manage Terraform infrastructure and deployments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment and provide production support.
