Role Description:

1. Experience in architecting, implementing, and managing monitoring tools such as Prometheus/Grafana, CloudWatch, Splunk, Datadog, New Relic, and ELK in the cloud.
2. Expert level knowledge of DevOps best practices and trends in the areas of source code management, CI/CD, Cloud, Automation, etc., with the ability to guide others in their usage.
3. Familiarity with TCP/IP protocol stack, including routing, network address translation, TCP/UDP connectivity, application-level protocols (HTTP, SMTP, DNS, etc.).
4. Validating networking/firewall connectivity.

Required Skill Set:

1. Good experience as DevOps Engineer with experience working on AWS.
2. Networking: AWS network load balancer, Route 53, API Gateway Container orchestration/management.
3. 70+ services running in ECS Security.
4. AWS Cert manager, CloudFront Databases: MySQL, Postgres, Redis, S3 AWS Lambdas Infrastructure as code terraform -- Deployment pipeline w/ Jenkins -- CI/CD.

Desired Skill Set:

1. Active oversight of Development, QA, and Production environments and plans future enhancements to meet business needs.
2. Proficient in Git version control, including branch management, merging, and pull request handling.
3. PIV checks to ensure changes are done and correct.
