Job summary

Adastra is seeking an Associate AWS DevOps Engineer to join our AWS Practice, focusing on building secure, scalable AWS environments, IaC, and deployment pipelines to support cloud modernization and data platforms.

The position is based in Canada with hybrid work (1 day onsite per month) and permanent full-time employment. You will collaborate with cloud architects, data engineers, and application teams to deliver reliable deployments and AWS-based solutions.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in DevOps or cloud engineering.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC).
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation/CDK.
• CI/CD tooling experience.
• Docker and scripting skills (Python/Bash).
• Understanding of security and least-privilege principles.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Develop and support CI/CD pipelines for cloud infrastructure, applications, and data workloads.
• Automate deployment, configuration, and operational tasks using scripting.
• Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives, including provisioning and deployment automation.
• Deploy and support AWS services used in data platforms and analytics solutions.
• Configure and troubleshoot AWS networking, IAM, compute, storage, and container services.
• Support monitoring, logging, security, and operational best practices.
• Collaborate with cloud architects, data engineers, and application teams.
