Job summary

Astra-North Infoteck Inc. in Toronto is seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer - ETL, Python & SQL to design and implement data pipelines on cloud platforms, with a preference for AWS services.

This role requires 6–8 years of experience, hybrid work arrangement (2 days in-office in Toronto), and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, deployment automation, and scalable analytics workflows.

Qualifications

• Design and implement data pipelines on cloud platforms; AWS preferred, handling large data volumes.
• Perform data cleansing, validation, and quality checks across sources.
• ETL developer skilled in Python and SQL; proficient with AWS services (Glue, Glue Crawlers, Lambda, Redshift, Athena, S3, EC2, IAM, CloudWatch).
• Experience deploying to cloud environments and integrating CI/CD pipelines for artifact builds and deployments.
• Scheduling workflows with Airflow and AWS Step Functions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Required Skills and Experience

• Must have working knowledge in designing and implementing data pipelines on any of the cloud providers (AWS is preferred). Must be able to work with large volumes of data coming from various sources. Perform data cleansing, data validation etc.
• Hands on ETL developer who is good at python, SQL. AWS services like glue, glue crawlers, lambda, red shift, Athena, s3, EC2, IAM, Monitoring and Logging mechanisms- AWS CloudWatch, setting up alerts.
• Deployment knowledge on cloud. Integrate CI/CD pipeline to build artifacts and deploy changed to higher Environments.
• Scheduling frame works Airflow, AWS Step functions 5. Excellent Communication skills, should be able to work collaboratively with other teams
