CGI US is seeking a dynamic, innovative, experienced Emerging AWS Alliance Manager.

The AWS Alliance Manager is a strategic role responsible for driving the partnership between CGI and Amazon Web Services (AWS). This leader will continue to build and scale the relationship, aligning AWS’s capabilities with CGI’s goals to accelerate revenue growth, market penetration, and customer success. The ideal candidate will combine technical acumen, business strategy, and relationship management to position CGI as a top-tier AWS partner.

This position can be located in the New York, NY, Hartford, CT, Plymouth Meeting, PA, New Brunswick, NJ, Raleigh, NC or Boston, MA or Lafayette, LA offices. This can be performed in a hybrid model.

Your future duties and responsibilities

  • Strategic Partnership Development
  • Working closely with the AWS Global Alliance Leader to align with the strategic goals and direction of the alliance
  • Own the end-to-end AWS partnership, including joint business planning, revenue targets, and go-to-market (GTM) strategies.
  • Drive alignment with AWS field teams (Partner Development Managers, Sales, Solutions Architects) to identify co-selling opportunities and secure AWS funding (e.g., MAP, OLA, POC).
  • Lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with AWS and internal stakeholders to track progress, address challenges, and refine strategies.
  • Revenue Growth & Market Expansion
  • Accelerate pipeline generation through AWS Marketplace listings, co-selling initiatives, and joint customer engagements.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to convert AWS-led opportunities into closed deals, ensuring alignment with customer needs and AWS priorities.
  • Identify and pursue new markets, verticals, and use cases for CGI’s solutions within the AWS ecosystem.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with product teams to align roadmaps with AWS services (e.g., AI/ML, Security, DevOps) and achieve AWS Competencies (e.g., GENAI, MSP etc.).
  • Work with marketing to execute co-branded campaigns, webinars, and events (e.g., reinvent, AWS Summits).
  • Enable internal teams (sales, support, engineering) with AWS training, certifications, and sales playbooks.
  • Operational Excellence
  • Track and report on KPIs: AWS-driven revenue, pipeline growth, certification milestones, and partner program compliance.
  • Manage AWS Partner Central metrics, including opportunity registrations, deal tracking, and scorecard performance.
  • Ensure compliance with AWS partnership requirements (e.g., APN tiers, AWS Marketplace listings).
  • Thought Leadership & Advocacy
  • Position CGI as a leader in the AWS ecosystem through joint whitepapers, case studies, and AWS-sponsored events.
  • Advocate for CGI within AWS, securing executive sponsorship and inclusion in AWS initiatives (e.g., Immersion Days, Lighthouse programs).

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

  • Experience: 5+ years in alliance management, business development, or sales, with 3+ years focused on AWS partnerships.
  • Technical Knowledge: understanding of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda) and cloud architecture. AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) preferred.
  • Business Acumen: Proven track record of driving revenue through partnerships (e.g., $10M+ AWS-generated pipeline).
  • Skills:

Exceptional negotiation and stakeholder management (C-suite to technical teams).

Proficiency in AWS Partner Central, Payee Central, CRM

Strong communicator with ability to simplify technical concepts for diverse audiences.

Ability to identify key growth areas and develop new IT business aligned with the company's growth strategy and campaigns

Ability to lead interdisciplinary teams with varying levels of experience

Knowledge of Government contracting, current IT acquisition trends, and customer buying behaviors

Knowledge of competitors and the ability to model competitor behaviors in the market

Strong contract management, negotiation & influencing skills

Ability to present and communicate effectively at senior levels

Problem solving & decision-making

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Ability to manage customer relationships to maximize business opportunities.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, or related field. MBA a plus

Certifications (Preferred But Not Required)

  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) preferred.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $127,100.00 - $271,800.00.
