Spare Apprentice Tradesperson, Plumber

Hours of work: on an as needed basis

Effective immediately

Rate of Pay: As per the CUPE Collective Agreement

SpareAPPRENTICE TRADESPERSON PLUMBER

RESPONSIBLE TO: Property Services Supervisor-Mechanical

  • Must have completed the plumber course from NSCC or equivalent and plan to continue towards a Certificate of Qualifications in the Plumber Construction trade issued under the authority of the Apprenticeship and Trades Qualification Act of Nova Scotia.;
  • High school diploma;
  • Demonstrate good written communication and organizational skills;
  • Broad knowledge of safety procedures and practices;
  • Valid Nova Scotia Driver’s License and own vehicle;
  • Own tools;
  • Experience in other mechanical trades would be an asset (for example: Pump installer certification)

The successful applicant will be required to provide a Criminal Record Check and a completed Child Abuse Registry Form.

Qualified applicants from within the CUPE Bargaining Unit Local 3876 will be considered first. Should there be no qualified candidate from within the Bargaining Unit, new applicants will be considered.
