Job description

Our client is sourcing an AVP, Private Equity Fund Accounting (Asst. Manager Level) for a 6-Month Contract.

About the Opportunity

• Take primary ownership of managing Private Equity client relationships, ensuring consistent communication and long-term satisfaction

Identify and promote additional service solutions tailored to existing clients to support business expansion and retention

Oversee financial reporting processes in line with US GAAP and IFRS standards across varied fund structures, ensuring compliance and accuracy

Support the development of both new and long-standing client mandates with a focus on operational efficiency, profitability, and tailored service delivery

Lead the coordination of annual financial audits, acting as the point of contact for audit firms and internal stakeholders

Guide the NAV calculation and oversight process, ensuring precision, timeliness, and consistency

Monitor and enforce internal controls, procedures, and compliance standards

Assist in the seamless onboarding of large-scale fund administration mandates, ensuring a smooth transition and integration into existing processes

Maintain close collaboration with international operational teams to ensure cohesive service delivery and knowledge-sharing across regions

Participate in global and internal projects, driving improvements and supporting strategic business initiatives

Ensure timely and accurate completion of all client deliverables and internal milestones

About You

Around 5+ years of relevant experience in fund accounting, administration, or financial reporting—ideally with exposure to private equity or alternative investments

Comprehensive understanding of complex fund structures and technical accounting issues, capable of serving as a go-to expert

Strong commercial mindset with an ability to anticipate client needs and align services accordingly

Previous exposure to client servicing roles in financial services, with a track record of building and managing client relationships

Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience managing professionals or teams

Highly organized with a meticulous approach to work, capable of managing multiple priorities independently.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster collaboration across internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders

Professional accounting certification (such as CPA, ACCA, CA) preferred but not mandatory

Exposure to process improvement and automation initiatives, with a focus on increasing efficiency and reducing manual workload

Familiarity with regulatory requirements including KYC (Know Your Client) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) standards
