Job Description:
Summary:
The Associate Vice President of Information Security Risk Marketplace (BISO, RMP, TCO) for TD Wealth, TD Insurance, and Business Banking oversees support for these lines within TDBFG. Responsibilities include managing application inventories, implementing controls to address risks, and engaging with senior executives, vendors, and partners on technology risk and security issues. This role is part of the Platform Protect and Technology Risk Management & Information Security organizations, focusing on ensuring appropriate technology controls, compliance with regulations, and supporting enterprise security strategies. The position is based in Toronto, Canada.
Depth & Scope:
Build and develop a team supporting major TDBFG business segments, maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
Manage the team responsible for business segment support, collaborating with peers in Governance, Regulatory Reporting, Threat Management, and more.
Develop a Center of Excellence approach to share best practices across the enterprise, providing strategic advice on security strategies and ensuring policy adherence.
Offer guidance on technology initiatives, including forensic services, incident response, vulnerability management, and security services.
Create and monitor technology risk reports, analyzing trends and breaches, and advising management accordingly.
Stay informed about emerging issues, regulatory changes, and their impacts, ensuring risk frameworks are in place and effective.
Collaborate with business lines to address audit findings, ensure regulatory compliance, and mitigate risks.
Oversee outsourcing partner compliance with security policies and standards.
Lead the development of security awareness and communication programs.
Ensure team remains current with technological and regulatory developments, fostering talent development.
Lead people management strategies to attract and retain diverse, qualified staff.
Maintain operational compliance with internal and external requirements.
Deliver IT programs that support regulatory oversight, working with auditors, legal, compliance, and risk groups.
Partner with business leaders to optimize resources and improve efficiency.
Implement structured risk and control frameworks to manage technology strategies and deficiencies.
Education & Experience:
University or postgraduate degree.
Extensive experience in technology, with broad IT knowledge.
Proven success supporting major business needs, defining strategies, and delivering solutions.
Deep expertise in operational risk, technology risk, and security, with leadership skills suitable for senior roles.
Experience in high-volume, complex financial environments, managing sizable teams.
Deep knowledge of IT security, risk disciplines, and the regulatory landscape in Canada and the U.S.
Strong strategic, relationship, and influence skills, capable of leading change in a dynamic environment.
Exceptional communication skills, with a track record of working with regulators and external partners.
