The role of an HR Partner is dynamic, requiring strong skills in human resources, data analysis, storytelling, and mentoring. Position Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as a strategic partner to Technology teams: develop and implement people strategies, workforce planning, talent management, and organizational change initiatives.
  2. Be a thought leader and change agent within HR, assessing opportunities and risks, driving continuous improvement, and demonstrating how HR can benefit the broader organization.
  3. Represent “One HR” to leadership, ensuring seamless, customer-centric HR support for talent acquisition, engagement, and retention aligned with business needs.
  4. Analyze data to generate insights and advise on people-related strategies and priorities.
  5. Lead talent identification and development processes to provide meaningful career experiences, maintain bench strength, and succession plans for key roles.
  6. Collaborate with the global HR team to leverage resources and operate as a unified team.
  7. Work with HR leaders to incorporate business perspectives and use external market intelligence.
  8. Provide feedback, coaching, and advice to senior leaders on talent and HR strategies.
  9. Anticipate organizational impacts of change, advising leaders and managing risks.
  10. Oversee cyclical employee initiatives such as Engagement Surveys, Performance Management, Talent Reviews, and Compensation cycles.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Over 10 years of HR experience across multiple disciplines, including supporting technology teams.
  2. Proven success in coaching, influencing, and collaborating in a global matrix environment.
  3. Strong data analytics skills to drive business solutions.
  4. Well-connected with thought leadership in the tech community and within HR.
  5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience presenting to senior audiences.
  6. Client-centric focus on employee experience.
  7. Strategic partnership skills, seeking feedback to meet organizational needs.
  8. Sound judgment, ability to navigate ambiguity, and drive business outcomes.
  9. Courage to influence and negotiate with diverse partners.
  10. Visible change agent.

Salary Range:

Toronto, Ontario: CAD $123,400 - $229,300. For other regions, contact recruitment@manulife.com for regional salary details. Compensation includes base salary, performance incentives, and benefits.
