Job summary

Citi is seeking an ETL Data Engineer to contribute to the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems within the Technology team in Mississauga. You will participate in systems analysis and programming activities, supporting business users through the development lifecycle.

In this role you will work across a broad technology spectrum, using Ab Initio or other ETL tools on Unix/Linux and Windows, with Oracle/MySQL databases, and modern streaming technologies such as

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with Ab Initio or any other ETL tools (required) on Unix/Linux and Windows platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Data Warehouse and ETL architecture, design principles, and development methodologies.
• Broad cross‑functional IT experience, including application integration and interface design.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation as well as provide user and operational support on applications to business users.
• Analyze complex problems/issues and evaluate business process, system process, and industry standards to make evaluative judgments.
• Operate with limited supervision and advocate for continuous improvement in code quality and reliability.
• Contribute to risk assessment and ensure compliance with laws, rules, and regulations.
• Work across a broad technology spectrum, from legacy systems to big-data and distributed platforms.
