Job description

Position Responsibilities

- Business Strategy and Evolution: Lead the strategic direction of the Affinity H&D/LLB Product and Platforms organization, aligning product strategy with overall business goals and fostering innovation.

- Competitive Intelligence: Develop insights into the competitive landscape for Affinity to inform product development, distribution, and marketing strategies.

- Business Roadmap: Maintain and plan the product and capability roadmap for H&D/LLB, coordinating short- and long-term deliverables with stakeholders.

- Leadership: Manage and develop a team of 15 Product and Delivery professionals, removing obstacles and promoting engagement.

- Delivery: Oversee growth initiatives and projects, ensuring scope, timing, and budgets are managed effectively.

- Digital Experience: Define and implement the digital experience strategy and delivery roadmap to enhance sales and customer satisfaction.

- Distribution Effectiveness: Collaborate with distribution teams to optimize product distribution and drive sales through digital engagement and advice.

- Marketing and Value Proposition: Partner with marketing to promote campaigns that grow sales and brand, ensuring clear communication of product value propositions.

- External Relationships: Represent Manulife Affinity externally through industry committees, speaking engagements, and stakeholder meetings.

- Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party vendors to ensure delivery quality and cost management.

- Financial Management: Oversee the product budget and collaborate on pricing strategies to ensure profitability.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience in product strategy, including research, business case development, product development, execution, and financial analysis.

- Background in product, delivery, service, distribution, marketing, or process management, preferably with Affinity products.

- Successful track record of taking products from ideation to market launch.

- Strong leadership skills in inspiring and developing cross-functional teams.

- Deep understanding of the target market and competitive landscape for Affinity products.

Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of industry trends and emerging opportunities and challenges.

- Ability to oversee complex portfolios and provide strategic guidance to senior staff.

- Excellent internal and external communication skills, capable of representing Manulife externally.

- Enthusiastic about sharing the product and capability vision to gain stakeholder support.
