Orbit Brokers, a subsidiary of Atlas Van Lines Canada is seeking a proactive, motivated and dynamic candidate to join our team! The ideal candidate for our Rater/Customs Coordinator role should also possess excellent customer services skills.

Duties include the following:

  • Review invoices, manifests and other supporting documents for conformity to customs and corporate regulations
  • Data Entry of commercial invoices into Customs Operating system
  • Obtains customs paperwork by calling client when required
  • Verifies documentation for rating compliance
  • Prepares and submits release packages to Canada Border Services Agency
  • Provides customer service as required
  • Provides accurate information and assistance to customers requiring information
  • Processes entries to meet Company and Canada Border Services Agency compliance standards

Employment Type & Hours: Full time position with work hours between 9:00am and 5:00pm Monday through Friday.

Qualifications
  • Post secondary education preferred and 1+ years of job-related experience are required.
  • Experience with MS Office database, Excel and Word required.
  • Experience with Candata is beneficial.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Familiar with Transportation documentation and manifesting requirements (all modes).
  • Basic knowledge of customs clearance process (all modes).
  • Knowledge of HS coding.
  • Accurate data entry skills with typing skills 60 w.p.m.
