The Organization

In October of 2023, De Havilland Aircraft of Canada announced the acquisition of Mid Canada Mod Centre (MC2). Mid Canada Mod Centre is comprised of industry-leading experts focused on ensuring commercial, charter, special mission, and business aircraft operators are equipped with flight decks that provide safety and efficiency. As a premier Canadian aviation maintenance shop, the team of experts works to define avionics requirements to develop and certify solutions that fit each operator’s individual need.

Profile

We are searching for capable team players to join our Avionics service and installation team. Mid Canada Mod Centre is one of Canada’s largest avionics sales, design, installation, and service operations. With facilities in Toronto and Waterloo Region, we are looking for experienced installers and technicians to join our growing team.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Understand and comply with the regulatory requirements and the requirements of the Company manuals.
  2. Accurate completion of all paperwork in accordance with required procedures, manuals, and other documentation.
  3. Employ the proper tools, equipment, methods, and techniques required to perform safe aircraft maintenance.
  4. Ability to read and understand aircraft wiring diagrams.
  5. Accomplish all work tasks and other duties as assigned by the Production / Program Manager.
  6. Report any unsafe or unapproved work conditions or practices to the Production / Program Manager.

Education & Experience

  1. Applicants should possess relatable experience and/or completion of an AME Avionics post-secondary diploma.
  2. Proven technical aptitude with a minimum 2 years’ experience preferred.
  3. Broad range of experience in avionics and electrical systems an asset.
  4. Ability to lift up to 25kg, as well as often work in (climb, kneel, and crawl) tight spaces and work from heights.
  5. Flexibility to work shift work and overtime as necessary.
  6. Must be available to travel for occasional AOG recovery operations (or short periods of time for offsite installations).
  7. An ability to meet all conditions of employment.
