Job summary

Calm Air International LP in Winnipeg is seeking an Avionics Manager to lead the Avionics shop, supervise maintenance activities, and ensure safety and efficiency.

You will report to the Director of Maintenance, coordinate schedules, manage inventories, and maintain compliance with the SMS Program and company procedures. Travel is required and endorsements on ATR/Boeing/Airbus are assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited aviation program.
• Valid Transport Canada AME-E license required.
• Endorsements on ATR, Boeing, Airbus are assets.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Office).
• Experience in airline operations is beneficial.
• Willingness to travel and lift 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Avionics shop operations and programs.
• Instruct staff on company policies and safety standards.
• Coordinate maintenance with Director of Maintenance.
• Submit reports on efficiency and conditions.
• Manage inventories of tools and parts to meet varying demands.
• Ensure SMS compliance and safety procedures are followed.
• Document work per procedures and obtain ACA release.
• Maintain required training for the role.
