Job summary

Eastern Kentucky University is seeking an Aviation Student Worker- Dispatch to assist on the Richmond Campus flight line. The 20-hour per week, part-time role supports the Dispatch Supervisor with daily operations, including dispatching, ticket auditing, and general line duties.

The position requires enrollment at EKU (minimum 12 hours) and proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. A Flight Schedule Pro account and a passed private pilot checkride are preferred. Sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Assist daily operations of the Aviation Program on the flight line.
• Support the dispatch supervisor with daily duties including dispatching and auditing tickets.
• Perform cleaning, aircraft washing, and other tasks as assigned.

Job Summary/Basic Functions

A successful applicant will assist with daily requirements of the Aviation Program within the flight line. Duties will include assisting the flight line dispatch supervisor in every day operations.
Duties for Dispatch are assigned daily by the Supervisor. Duties can includedispatching, cleaning, auditing dispatch tickets, washing aircraft, auditing aircraft or other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be enrolled at EKU at least 12 hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Be able to pick up on tasks rather quickly
• Must have a flight schedule pro account
• Student must have passed the private pilot checkride.
