Job summary

Perimeter Aviation is hiring an NDT Trainee to support non-destructive testing activities across aircraft and components. The role emphasizes working safely, following approved procedures, and communicating with managers and staff to meet quality and safety standards.

You will work under the NDT Manager, with training on shop manuals, MPM, eye exam requirements, and calibration of equipment, while contributing to a safe and compliant maintenance environment.

Qualifications

• Possess or progress toward CAN/CGSB - 48.9712 level 1, 2 or 3 in Eddy Current, Radiography and/or Ultrasonic testing.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain transportation security clearances and additional authorizations.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to work with controlled goods and pass background checks.
• Hands-on NDT experience is an asset.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Ensure work is performed to supervisor standards and regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with NDT shop manual and MPM.
• Maintain yearly eye exams per CAN/CGSB-48.9712.
• Ensure equipment is calibrated and safe for use.
• Follow direction of SCA qualified staff for on-the-job training.
• Participate in the Company’s Safety Management System.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
