Job summary

Red Deer Polytechnic seeks a continuous appointment Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Technology Instructor to develop and deliver a Transport Canada-aligned diploma program. The role includes classroom, lab, hangar, and industry-integrated learning to support student success and strengthen aviation-industry relationships.

The successful candidate will help establish RDP's aviation training capacity and support the development of future AMEs for Alberta and Canada’s aviation industry, with

Qualifications

• Valid Transport Canada AME License in one or more categories (ME, AV, Structures).
• Minimum five years of recent aviation maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of CARs and Transport Canada standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver theory and practical instruction in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Technology.
• Facilitate learning in classroom, lab, hangar and field settings.
• Develop and maintain curriculum, instructional resources and assessments.
• Support TC compliance, accreditation and act as Person Responsible for Training.
• Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback.
• Supervise student projects and work-integrated learning experiences.
• Maintain currency in aviation maintenance practices and regulations.
• Engage with industry to foster partnerships and program quality assurance.
