Job description

Job Summary

We're accepting applications for an experienced AV Designer to join our AV Integration team. This will be a hybrid position based out of our Markham, ON office.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  1. Create AV system designs in CAD software for various settings including board rooms, conference rooms, training rooms, command centers, and other institutional and commercial systems.
  2. Support pre-sales and post-sales opportunities by providing technical expertise.
  3. Provide recommendations on AV solutions, highlighting features and risks.
  4. Stay updated on emerging AV technologies.
  5. Occasionally attend site visits, construction, and project meetings with account managers and clients.
  6. Review construction blueprints, drawings, and photos throughout the design process.
  7. Collaborate with installation teams and technicians to resolve issues.
  8. Provide detailed drawings, wiring schedules, rack layouts, and documentation.
Education And/or Experience
  1. Minimum of 2 years as an AV designer within the commercial AV industry.
  2. Experience with AutoCAD is preferred.
  3. Knowledge of audio, video, and control systems, as well as architectural and cabling requirements.
  4. Knowledgeable with Crestron, Qsys, Extron is preferred.
  5. CTS certification is a plus (CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I).
  6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with a professional appearance.
  7. Industry-recognized training: Crestron, Biamp, Extron, QSC, Dante.
