Job Purpose:
The Autonomous Maintenance Technician will be responsible for deploying the AM program at the Bolton Foods Plant. They will work closely with Pillar members, Autonomous Work Teams, and cross-functional support to embed sustainable practices of Area & Equipment ownership within the Operation.
What are we looking for?
- Experience with MSE/TPM programs, specifically Autonomous Maintenance
- Six Sigma problem solving (Green Belt or higher preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or sciences preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills, effective leadership and coaching ability, high drive for results, methodical work style
- Ability to Drive Vision and Purpose, Motivate Others, Drive Sustainable Results, and build MSE skill set
What will be your key responsibilities?
Key Activities:
- Transfer technical knowledge to the operations team and upskill operators for MSE program activities, including validation
- Create and adhere to capability building plans for Operators; assess AWT skills and plan for gap closures
- Support AWT in creating AM-related documentation (CILs, Safety Maps, CLs, etc.)
- Teach operators basic mechanical and electrical theory and tools for AM activities
- Train operators on BFP equipment design, autonomous maintenance activities, and preventive maintenance programs
- Lead AM support DMS at the factory and implement activities to achieve BFP maturity level
- Participate actively in AWT teams
- Track progress of AM DMS implementation and report at meetings
- Perform process confirmation of AM activities and track maturity levels
- Coach AWT on AM KPIs and track capabilities
- Use SAP breakdown hours as an improvement opportunity via CAPA
Key Accountabilities:
- Attend and chair all AWT meetings, driving AM development
- Coach on AM DMS use and improve Step-Up-Card (SUC) maturity
- Ensure all documents are current for AWT meetings (attendance, activity plans, reports)
- Champion 5S standards, support audits, and coach operators to reach 5S excellence
- Develop, implement, and improve Critical Equipment Lifting (CIL) and Critical Lifting (CLs)
- Support AH process health
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders to improve line efficiency and mitigate waste
- Participate in root cause analysis and problem solving for line issues
- Manage standards, SOPs, and communication of AM activities
- Conduct job observations related to AM & FMOS
- Ensure safety and quality standards are followed in the AM rollout area
