As an Autonomous Driving System (ADS) Engineer at Aurrigo:
- You will become proficient at using our onboard vehicle software to manage and monitor the autonomous driving of cutting-edge prototype vehicles
- You will supervise the safety of moving vehicles
- You will help to build new maps of the environment to allow vehicles to operate in unknown areas, and create new driving routes to allow the vehicles to perform their duties
- You will troubleshoot and overcome driving issues in software and hardware to keep our vehicles moving
- You will learn how to modify and build Linux and ROS software modules to deliver exciting new vehicle features and functionality
- You will have the chance to engage with project partners and contribute to demonstrations of the autonomous technology to visiting guests and dignitaries
- Travel to support our deployments across Canada, the USA, UK, Europe and across the globe
What we require from you:
- Bachelors Degree / Masters Degree in the STEM field, preferably Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent level of expertise from industry
- Keen interest in autonomous vehicles and smart mobility
- Proficiency in writing C++ and Python code for production systems
- Experience with Linux operating systems including Linux file systems, bash scripting, git, and Linux terminal commands
- A full driving licence
- The ability to travel internationally, specifically to the USA, UK and EU countries
What we prefer from you:
- Knowledge and/or experience of ROS software and architecture
- Experience and/ or interest in key areas of computer vision and robotics such as large-scale mapping, localization, SLAM, and 3D perception.
- Ability to quickly prototype and optimize algorithms

- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate and engage with interested parties and project stakeholders at demonstrations
- A collaborative work ethic to drive solutions alongside the Autonomous Safety Driver and other members of the Vehicle Deployment Team.
