Bannister Automotive Group is seeking a Red Seal Certified Automotive Technician to join the Kamloops GM service team. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles to OEM standards, perform multi-point inspections, and partner with service advisors for clear customer communication.

Ideal candidates bring extensive diagnostics experience, attention to detail, and the ability to manage priorities in a busy shop; full-time hours are typical Monday to Friday with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Red Seal journeyman automotive technician certification.
• Experience with diagnostics, electrical and mechanical systems.
• High attention to detail and commitment to first-time quality.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy shop.
• Proficiency with diagnostic equipment, repair software and OEM tools.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract.
• Full-time availability, typically M–F.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance according to OEM standards.
• Conduct multi-point inspections and recommend required services.
• Collaborate with Service Advisors for clear customer communication.
• Complete repair orders efficiently with high workmanship standards.
• Conduct post-repair test drives and quality checks.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
• Support the team through collaboration and mentorship.
