Job summary

NATHAN AUTO INDUSTRIES INC. in Saskatoon seeks an Automotive Technician specializing in engine and fuel systems to diagnose, repair and maintain complex automotive systems. You will inspect, test with diagnostic tools, service preventive maintenance, and explain findings to customers.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor.
• Inspect motor in operation, road test motor vehicle, and test automotive systems to diagnose faults.
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems using hand tools and repair equipment.
• Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer specifications.
• Perform scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes and tune ups.
• Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.

• Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor
• Inspect motor in operation, road test motor vehicle, and test automotive systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to diagnose and isolate faults
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems including fuel system, brakes, steering and suspension, engine and drive train, emission control and exhaust, cooling and climate control, and electrical and electronic systems using hand tools and other specialized automotive repair equipment
• Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's performance specifications
• Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups
• Advise customers on work performed, general vehicle condition and future repair requirements

NOTE: A Red Seal Journeyperson Certificate is considered a strong asset and may be taken into account when discussing salary for the right candidate.

Candidates without certification will also be considered if they can demonstrate equivalent hands-on experience and solid technical knowledge in the automotive field.
