Job summary

2COMS Consulting Pvt. Ltd. seeks an experienced automotive technician in Canada to diagnose, repair, and service passenger cars, SUVs, and light trucks. You will review work orders, perform road tests, and use scan tools and equipment to identify faults, ensuring repairs meet manufacturer specs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Review work orders and discuss repair requirements with supervisor.
  • Inspect vehicles, perform road tests, and diagnose issues.
  • Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults and malfunctions.
  • Conduct maintenance: lubrication, tune-ups, tire work, alignments.
  • Provide repair reports and customer guidance.

Key Responsibilities:
Vehicle Diagnostics & Repair
  • Review work orders and discuss repair requirements with the supervisor.
  • Inspect vehicles in operation and perform road tests to diagnose issues.
  • Use computerized diagnostic equipment and testing devices to identify faults and malfunctions.
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate defects and determine repair requirements.
  • Diagnose faults and confirm findings with the supervisor before repairs.
Maintenance & Servicing

Perform scheduled maintenance services including:

  • Lubrication services
  • Tune-ups
  • Tire mounting and balancing
  • Wheel alignments
  • Test and adjust repaired systems according to manufacturer specifications.

Repair, adjust, or replace components of:

  • Brake systems
  • Steering and suspension systems
  • Engines and drivetrains
  • Emission control and exhaust systems
  • Cooling and climate control systems
  • Electrical and electronic systems
Documentation & Customer Service
  • Complete repair reports and service documentation accurately.
  • Advise customers regarding completed work, vehicle condition, and future maintenance requirements.
  • Provide professional customer service.
  • Coach and mentor apprentices when required.
  • Flat Rate: CAD $40.00 per hour
  • After obtaining Journeyperson Trade Certificate: CAD $50.00 per hour
Requirements
Education:
  • Completion of Secondary School (High School) is mandatory.
Experience:
  • Minimum 6 years (72 months) of automotive repair experience.
  • Minimum 9,360 hours of relevant work experience.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing passenger cars, SUVs, and light trucks.
  • Hands-on experience using scan tools, hand tools, and automotive repair equipment.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a Journeyperson Certificate as an Automotive Service Technician in Canada.
  • Must be eligible to apply for Trades Competency Verification (TCV).
  • Candidates must be willing to challenge the Canadian trade theory examination upon arrival.
License
  • Valid driver's license (equivalent to Class 5) is required.

  • English communication skills are mandatory.
