Job summary

Leduc Chrysler is seeking a Service Technician (Journeyperson) to perform preventive maintenance, diagnose faults, and repair new, pre-owned and customer vehicles. You will use diagnostic tools and communicate with advisors to complete work orders safely and efficiently.

Applicants should hold Journeyman Red Seal, have a strong automotive background, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and be willing to undergo a background check. Chrysler training is an asset.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Red Seal and automotive credentials required.
• Experience with diagnosing and repairing diverse vehicle systems.
• Ability to read and interpret repair orders and documents.
• Willingness to submit to background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance per repair orders.
• Inspect and test systems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering, brakes, etc.
• Communicate repair needs and time estimates to Service Advisor.
• Work under warranty to manufacturer specs.
• Commit to ongoing learning and safety policies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Automotive Service Technician Pay Rate: $48000 - 150000 per year Leduc Chrysler

Service Technician

Type: Journeyperson

Description: As a key member of our team, the Service Technician brings to life the ultimate service experience. The Service Technician performs preventative maintenance, diagnoses faulty operations and repairs new, pre-owned and customer vehicles. They will identify mechanical problems using computerized equipment and communicate effectively with advisors and management to complete work orders in a safe and timely manner.

Pay Plan: Commensurate with experience.

Pay Range: Commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Inspect and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment on new, pre-owned, and customer vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of the time needed for additional repairs.
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
• Must follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Other duties as required.
