Job summary

Dunlop Ford is seeking a skilled Service Technician in Southern Alberta to join our award-winning team. After a three-month probation, employee benefits become eligible, and paid training is provided at Ford training facilities.

You will perform repairs and diagnostics per dealer guidelines, communicate with the Service Advisor, and work on warranty repairs to manufacturers' specs. A valid driver’s license is required and a background check will be conducted.

Qualifications

• Journeyman or Red Seal certification is required.
• Strong automotive background is essential.
• Strong teamwork skills are essential.
• Willing to submit to a background check is required.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership guidelines.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor to inform customers if additional service is needed and provide time estimates for additional repairs.
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
