Job summary

A family-owned automotive dealership in Bolton, Ontario is looking for an experienced Automotive Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will conduct vehicle inspections, utilize electronic diagnostic tools, and perform scheduled maintenance and repairs. Ideal applicants will have at least four years of hands-on experience and a valid G driver's license. A competitive compensation of $25-$35/hour plus benefits is offered.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in the automotive field or equivalent apprenticeship.
  • Valid G driver's license with a clean abstract.
  • Knowledge of repair equipment and vehicle operations.

Job description

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Compensation: $25-$35/hour + benefits

About the Company:

Our client is a family-owned and operated automotive dealership. They have been delivering their services to residents of the GTA since 1996.

They are growing at a rapid pace and are seeking to add an Automotive Technician to their dynamic team!

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct vehicle inspections and report any problems
  • Use electronic diagnostic equipment to find issues quickly
  • Adjust alignments and suspensions when needed
  • Properly dispose of used oil, radiator fluid, worn-out parts and other components
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups
  • Adjust, repair and replace parts and components of vehicles including chassis, frame, cab, body, engine and drivetrain, air brakes, steering and fuel, hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems
  • Test drive vehicles before and after repairs
  • Keep accurate records of work performed, parts used and time spent on each repair
  • Support junior technicians or apprentices through guidance or mentoring
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Must have completed a four-year automotive service technician apprenticeship program or have at least four years of hands on work experience in the trade
  • Must possess a valid G driver’s license with a clean abstract
  • Must possess extensive knowledge and understanding of repair equipment and how vehicles work/operate
  • Prior experience utilizing electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Extensive hand and power tool knowledge
  • Superior time management and communication skills
