Job summary

Speedy Auto Service is seeking an Automotive Service Apprentice to support service operations. You will perform vehicle maintenance and repairs as assigned and assist technicians while examining vehicles to determine further work required.

The role starts at $21.00 per hour, with final compensation based on experience and qualifications. This is a full-time position in a fast-growing automotive network that values customer service and safety.

Qualifications

• Must be registered as a 3rd or 4th Year Automotive Service Technician Apprentice.
• Ability to communicate technical information in a simple manner.
• Attention to detail and strong customer service focus.
• Willing to learn and develop professionally with the team.

Responsibilities

• Understand all aspects of the Service Operation.
• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs as assigned.
• Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
• Maintain high level of customer service and satisfaction.
• Assist with technical issues as needed.
• Maintain a safe and productive working environment.
• Perform tire rotations and basic tire services.
• Complete reports to record problems and work performed.
• Keep work bays clean and safe before, during, and after servicing.

Job description

The Automotive Service Apprentice be supporting in all aspects of the Service Operations. He will be performing vehicle maintenance and repairs as assigned as well as examine vehicles to determine what work is required. The Automotive Service Apprentice will also support technicians in other tasks, as required. The hourly rate for this position starts at $21.00, with final compensation determined based on relevant experience and qualifications.

Job Duties

• Understand all aspects of the Service Operation
• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs as assigned
• Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required
• Maintain High level of Customer Service and Satisfaction
• Assist with Technical issues as needed
• Maintain a safe and productive working environment
• Perform Tire Rotations, mount and balance and repair of tires.
• Drain and fill, flush fluids using specified fluid grades upon request.
• Clean or replace batteries upon request.
• Replace air, cabin air and fuel filters upon request.
• Complete reports to record problems and work performed.
• Maintain a clean and safe upper and lower bay area before, during and after vehicle servicing.
• Other related tasks

Requirements

• Must be registered as a 3rd or 4th Year Automotive Service Technician Apprentice.
• Ability to communicate technical information in a simple manner
• Ability to pay attention to detail
• Exceptional customer service skills with the desire to exceed customer expectations
• Valid G2 or G License with a clean driving record
• Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills
• Willing to learn more as a part of further personal development
