Job description

So, you want to sell automobiles known for their quality, reliability, and beauty? You've come to the right place. We're looking for sales professionals to sell cars at our dealership. If you believe that being a Sales Consultant is a craft built on charisma, communication, and thorough product knowledge (we'll happily teach you everything you need to know), we want to talk to you!

As a Sales Consultant at our dealership, you'll be responsible for managing all sales activities. From generating and managing sales leads, you'll be instrumental in helping our team continue its success.

Responsibilities:
  1. Greet customers on the sales floor and perform needs analysis including make, type, and features of the vehicle desired.
  2. Explain features and demonstrate operation of the vehicle in showroom or on road.
  3. Research availability of models and optional equipment using computer database.
  4. Work with Sales and F&I Managers and negotiate sales prices, including tax, trade-in allowance, license fee, and discounts, as well as financing or lease payment requirements.
  5. Walk the lot and visually inspect inventory.
  6. Complete all paperwork and arrange for vehicle delivery and registration.
  7. Deliver and familiarize the customer with the vehicle.
  8. Attend and complete required training and department meetings.
  9. Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Job Requirements:
  • Ability to speak a second language is preferred.
  • One year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong sales skills, excellent communication, and customer service skills are essential.
  • Organizational and thorough follow-up skills are necessary for staying in touch with clients before and after the sale.
  • A current valid driver’s license is required.
  • Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
