A leading automotive manufacturing company in Newmarket is seeking an Automotive Polish Technician to wet sand and polish body panels for the Ford Mustang GTD. This hands-on role provides experience with high-performance vehicles. Ideal candidates should have auto body finishing experience and strong attention to detail in a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in auto body finishing and repair.
  • Understanding of composite component construction is an asset.
  • Ability to interpret basic instructions, both verbal and written.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate shift work if required.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and instruction.

Company Overview:

Multimatic Niche Vehicles North America (MNVNA) is the exclusive production facility of the Ford GT Mk IV supercar and the Ford Bronco DR racing truck.

Position Overview:

MNVNA is seeking an Automotive Polish Technician responsible for wet sanding and polishing newly painted body panels for vehicle assembly on the Ford Mustang GTD.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience with high-performance vehicles, the latest automotive technology, and a passion for automobiles.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow all established safety procedures.
  • Mask appropriate areas as required.
  • Wet-sand and polish components using various buffing techniques.
  • Identify and correct paint defects (debris in paint, runs, sags, solvent pop).
  • Maintain polishing tools and materials.
  • Work comfortably in a dynamic team environment and provide positive feedback.
  • Adhere to Multimatic’s quality-focused attitude and work culture.

Training will be provided as needed.

Education and Experience:

  • Experience in auto body finishing and repair.
  • Understanding of composite component construction is an asset.
