Automotive Mechanics Teaching Assistant

Northern Gateway Public Schools invites applications for full-time Automotive Mechanic Teaching Assistant position at Onoway Jr/Sr High School, Onoway, Alberta for the remainder of the 2026-2027 school year.

Successful candidate responsibilities :

• Assist the teacher in teaching Senior High Mechanics

Teacher Assistant requirements/assets:

• Journeyman Automotive Service Technician certification, or Mechanic-related certification, or strong mechanical skills and knowledge
• A student-centered approach to instruction
• A demonstrated commitment to collaborative practice and teamwork
• A willingness to participate in the school community
• Additional consideration will be given to a candidate that is a certified teacher or has experience instructing automotive mechanics.

Start Date:

• November 2, 2026 or when the successful candidate is available.

Salary:

• To be determined based on qualifications
