Job summary

A leading automotive service provider in Surrey, BC, is seeking a knowledgeable Automotive Mechanic. This role involves repairing and maintaining a variety of vehicles, including buses. Candidates should be Red Seal certified with 2-3 years of experience. Competitive pay is offered at $34.00 - $36.00 per hour. This is a fully onsite position where attention to detail and good organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of maintenance and repair experience on Automotive and/or buses.
• Experience with 12 V systems.
• Valid driver’s license.
• CVIP license to inspect vehicle classes 4 & 5.

Responsibilities

• Repairing and maintaining vehicles/buses.
• Completing production work and inspections.
• Running diagnostic tests and performing preventative maintenance.

Description

The Automotive Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining service operations by inspecting and repairing vehicles. Primary Duties:

• Repairing and maintaining vehicles/buses
• Service work - balancing tires, wheel alignment
• Completing production work
• Pre-delivery inspection of new buses
• Performing Preventative Maintenance
• Complete Commercial Vehicle Inspections on vehicles/buses
• Running diagnostic tests on vehicles/buses
• Conduct test drives
• Floor repairs - (made of plywood)
• Some welding for exhaust repairs - Mig Aluminum and Steel
• Shop cleanup as needed
• Propane Certified
• Assist with assembly 10-20% of the day
• Work on fire safety or electrical work when in assembly
• Ac compressors in the summer
• AC performance testing
• Oil changes
