Job description

We are a full service automotive repair and tire shop for automobiles and light duty trucks.

We are hiring Automotive Mechanics - from apprentice technicians to Red Seal certified technicians for permanent, full-time positions.

Located in Squamish, BC, is offering full-time job opportunities for apprentice technicians, certified technicians, and highly preferred Red Seal certified technicians. Squamish, located 45 minutes north of Vancouver, is home to hiking, water wind sports, and world-famous climbing and biking opportunities, plus other recreational and cultural activities. Any applicant needs to consider and research housing challenges that exist in our community prior to pursuing employment.

Job Duties:

  • Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor/advisor
  • Inspect motor in operation, road test motor vehicle, and test automotive systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to diagnose and isolate faults
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems including fuel system, brakes, steering and suspension, engine and drive train, emission control and exhaust, cooling and climate control, and electrical and electronic systems using hand tools and other specialized automotive repair equipment
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's performance specifications
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups
  • Complete multi-point vehicle inspections
  • Advise customers on work performed, general vehicle condition and future repair requirements
  • Communicate clearly with supervisor/service advisors

Job Requirements:

  • Completion of a four-year automotive service technician apprenticeship program or a combination of over one year of work experience and industry courses in automotive technology or related educational background is required
  • Trade certification for automotive service technicians is a strong asset
  • Red Seal certification is highly valued
  • Experience working on both North American and Import vehicles is an asset.
  • Verbal and written English language skills are essential. A second language is beneficial but not required - French or Spanish ideal

Wage:

$35.00 to $50.00 hourly (To be negotiated) / 40 hours per week
