Business Overview:

At Pride Bodies Ltd., we offer custom design and fabrication of utility, service, construction, and other custom truck bodies.

Job Overview:

1. Work safely at all times;
2. Clean and prep surfaces by sanding, scraping, and grinding;
3. Prep body/part to ensure surfaces are prepared for painting;
4. Mask/tape and body fill where needed;
5. Assist Preppers with questions related to the job; train if necessary;
6. Assist in filling and emptying paint shop;
7. Inspect jobs for defects before paint to ensure all prep/bodywork is completed;
8. Able to wet sand and polish imperfections if needed;
9. Prepare paint mixtures to customer specifications and environmental standards;
10. Paint complete body/parts in a timely manner;
11. Maintain and clean paint shop and supplies;
12. Disassemble, clean, and reassemble sprayers and equipment, using solvents;
13. Ensure paint booth and associated equipment are in proper working order;
14. Work both independently and in a team environment.

Eligibility Requirements:

1. Proven safety record;
2. Commitment to quality, customer focus, and the desire to raise industry standards;
3. Industrial and automotive painting experience of large work truck bodies is an asset;
4. Proficient in paint systems and booth maintenance procedures;
5. Working knowledge of pressure pot and HVLP gravity paint equipment;
6. Ability to work with chemicals and paint for extended periods;
7. Basic math skills and understanding of correct paint mixtures for base coat, clear coat, and single-stage paints;
8. Comfortable using hand and power tools;
9. Must be able to read and write in English;
10. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs;
11. High school diploma or equivalent;
12. 1–2 years of industrial and/or automotive painting experience;
13. Legal authorization to work in Canada;
14. No relocation assistance provided.
