About the Opportunity

On Line Collision is looking for a full-time Automotive Body Technician based in Langley, BC. While the primary focus is on hiring a certified technician, applications from experienced 3rd- and 4th-year apprentices will also be considered.

Reporting to the Owner and working alongside estimators and parts personnel, you will play a pivotal role in restoring collision-damaged vehicles to high safety and quality standards while contributing to a busy, team-oriented repair environment.

In this position, you will be primarily responsible for completing structural and cosmetic repairs on a wide range of vehicles, ensuring all work meets industry and ICBC standards.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Performing structural and cosmetic repairs on cars and light trucks
  • Collaborating with estimators to review repair plans and supplement processes
  • Disassembling and reassembling vehicles as required for accurate assessments and repairs
  • Following OEM repair procedures and ICBC guidelines
  • Using 3D measuring tools and frame straightening equipment
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area
  • Participating in ongoing training to stay current with industry best practices
About You

To qualify, you will need to be a Red Seal Certified Automotive Collision Repair Technician and hold a valid BC driver’s license, with 4-5+ years of experience in auto body repair. For 3rd- and 4th-year apprentices, you must be registered in the Red Seal program with at least 2 to 3 years of practical experience.

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

  • Experience working in a busy production collision shop
  • Familiarity with ICBC estimating and supplementing processes
  • Understanding of OEM repair procedures
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with estimators and parts personnel
  • Experience in structural and cosmetic collision repairs
  • Strong awareness of health and safety protocols
  • I-CAR certification or completion of related training programs (asset)
  • Proficiency with 3D measurement systems and frame straightening equipment (asset)
