Job description

Overview

We’re currently seeking a full-time, part-time, or casual Automotive and Heavy-duty Mechanic to join our small, skilled mechanical team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a range of vehicles, including large coaches, mini buses, and smaller automotive vehicles. You’ll collaborate with our operations team to ensure the safe and reliable transportation of our guests through the Canadian Rockies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a diverse fleet, including large coaches, mini buses, and smaller vehicles.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively with the team to address mechanical issues and maintain the highest safety standards.
  • Use fleet management systems to monitor and schedule timely maintenance.
  • Collaborate with operations to ensure all vehicles are fully operational and ready for guest transport.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an automotive and/or heavy-duty mechanic.
  • Strong knowledge of fleet maintenance systems and procedures.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of vehicles, from cars to buses.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A passion for working in the tourism industry and contributing to the exploration of the Canadian Rockies.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 4 days on, 3 days off
  • 12 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Jasper, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
