Job summary

Iris Software Inc. in Toronto, ON is seeking a QE/SDET to join our client's multinational financial services team on a 24+ month hybrid basis.

The role emphasizes automated testing across cloud, distributed, and mainframe environments with APIs and data validation. The ideal candidate has 5+ years designing test cases, experience with Playwright and Typescript, API testing using Postman/SOAP UI, and strong SQL data validation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing test cases with automated testing across cloud, distributed and mainframe, business workflows and services/APIs, databases.
• API testing experience using Postman/SOAP UI.
• Experience with Playwright and Typescript.
• GenAI capabilities to design and implement automation frameworks.
• DB testing experience (SQL).
• Experience with a variety of test automation frameworks/tools e.g., SoapUI, Selenium, Appium, UFT/Lean UFT/Rest Assured/Robot Framework, and script development.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans and automation strategies across cloud, distributed, mainframe and APIs.
• Collaborate with development teams to implement testing across services and data flows.
• Provide effort estimates for QE deliverables and tasks.
• Maintain and extend automation frameworks to support CI/CD pipelines.

Job Description:

• 5+ years of experience designing test cases with a focus on optimized test design techniques with automated testing(cloud, distributed and mainframe, business workflows and services/APIs, databases).
• API testing experience using Postman/ SOAP UI.
• Experience with Playwright and Typescript.
• GenAI capabilities to design and implement automation frameworks.
• DB testing experience (SQL).
• Experience in a variety of test automation frameworks/tools e.g., (SoapUI, Selenium, Appium, UFT/Lean UFT/Rest Assured/Robot Framework, TestNG) and script development.
• Provide effort estimates for all QE and Testing-related deliverables and tasks.
