Automation Test Engineer

Accountabilities:

1. Designing and executing against the project Test Strategy.
2. Providing status updates/escalations and reporting via metrics to the project team.
3. Reviewing user stories, requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely feedback from a Quality Assurance perspective.
4. Creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases and reviewing the same for the project delivery test team.
5. Designing, developing, and executing scripts.
6. Designing and developing Automation Framework and enhancing the existing framework.
7. Creating Test plan, Test Strategy, Test case, Test data, and Test execution.
8. Conducting detailed regression testing and ensuring test artifacts are current.
9. Collaborating with internal teams (e.g., developers, business analysts, scrum masters, product owners) and providing perspective from a Testing focus.
10. Ensuring that all deliverables are met.
11. Meeting challenging deadlines and performing effectively under pressure.
12. Being a team player and a positive influence on the team.

Technical Requirement:

1. Technical experience in test automation and in the design and development of automation frameworks covering different technology and application platforms.
2. Deep understanding and experience of automation development tool sets (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, SOAPUI/JSON).
3. Experience in implementing test automation development efforts in an Agile SCRUM development environment.
4. Good technical writing skills and ability to describe clearly complex processes and tasks.
5. Proven work experience with Digital Automation Testing (Cross Browser, Mobile).
6. Clear verbal and written communication skills in English.
7. Great attitude and work ethics.

Must Have:

1. Insurance Domain Experience – Commercial Line.
2. Expertise in Automation Testing using Selenium – Java/Python/C/C++ (Framework Development, Enhancement).
3. API Testing (Expertise working with XML/JSON, SOAP API, REST API – Framework Development, Enhancement).
4. Ability to create tools/scripts to enable developers to test their own code.
5. Expertise in Java/Python/C++ Development/Test Automation.
6. Expertise working with CI/CD Pipeline, First time Automation, Digital Test Automation.
7. Knowledge of SQL and working with GIT/Bitbucket (Source code management tool).
8. Jenkins/JIRA Integration using API.
