Job summary

Pillar5 Pharma, based in Arnprior, Ontario, is seeking an Automation Technologist to support automated systems and drive reliability in our manufacturing environment.

You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and productivity, while developing documentation and ensuring compliance with industry standards. A diploma in relevant engineering technology and 3+ years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Automation Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience working with automated systems, preferably in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with PLCs (e.g., Rockwell) and HMI systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
• Vision system experience is an asset.

Pillar5 is seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Automation Technologist to support the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of our automated systems. In this role, you will support daily operations by resolving technical issues, improving system efficiency, and ensuring equipment performs reliably through regular testing and inspections. The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem-solver with strong technical expertise, capable of working across teams to resolve issues and optimize processes.

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this position is $70,000-$85,000 per year.
