Job description

UAP Inc. is looking to expand their technician team by adding a technician to support the automated warehouse system of their Cambridge facility.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key activities :

  • Conduct maintenance activities on installed systems to ensure consistent functionality and reliability.
  • Oversee maintenance operations and efficiently manage spare parts inventory to improve operational efficiency.
  • Accurately document all technical team activities within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Deliver prompt and effective support to the operations team emphasizing a right first time approach.
  • Participate in regular operations meetings and provide emergency maintenance support when required.
  • Address maintenance concerns proactively and manage internal escalation procedures professionally.
  • Monitor and optimize on-site maintenance processes including response times and compliance with quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with the operations team to maintain and enhance optimal system performance.

Qualifications :

Candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills :

  • Technical diploma in Electrical Electronic Mechanical or Automation disciplines.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical schematics.
  • Knowledge of industrial automation including sensor technologies and pneumatic / hydraulic systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair mechanical electrical and electronic faults.
  • Experience in performing routine maintenance and commissioning of mechatronic systems.
  • Familiarity with CMMS tools and a solid understanding of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) metrics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills focused on optimizing automated system performance.
