Prodomax Automation Ltd. in Barrie, Ontario, seeks an Automation Systems Designer to join its engineering team. The Intermediate/Senior role delivers layouts for automation cells and reports to the Mechanical Design Manager in Barrie.

Candidates will work with AutoCAD and SolidWorks, develop guarding, electrical and fluid power designs, and collaborate with multidiscipline teams to meet project deadlines. Senior level includes mentoring junior designers.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or technologist/technician required.
• 2+ years experience with plant systems or manufacturing processes.
• Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, MS Word, Teams, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Professionalism in interactions with all stakeholders – both written and verbal.
• Aptitude to adopt new technologies and minimize reliance on error-prone manual processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Strong judgement skills.
• Ability to identify opportunities to refine and implement new processes and systems.
• Commitment to meet deadlines.

Responsabilités

The Opportunity

The Automation Systems Designer - Intermediate/Senior will provide systems and services layouts to the production team and will report directly to the Mechanical Design Manager in Barrie.

INTERMEDIATE

Job Summary

The Automation systems Designer– Intermediate will provide systems and services layouts to the production team and will report directly to the Mechanical Design Manager in Barrie.

• Coordinate with multidiscipline teams, take direction from others and five direction to others as required for each unique project

*$70,000.00 - $95,000.00

The actual compensation a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
