What will you do?

Join Siemens as a Factory Automation Specialist and become part of our mission to revolutionize industrial manufacturing. As a key member of our Quebec team, you'll drive technological excellence by implementing cutting-edge automation solutions and empowering our clients with next-generation manufacturing capabilities.

  • Lead technical implementations and provide expert support for Siemens factory automation technology across Quebec.
  • Design and execute advanced system optimization, upgrade and automation solutions.
  • Deliver SITRAIN factory automation courses in French, empowering clients with technical expertise.
  • Deliver comprehensive service solutions including emergency on-call support, service projects, and ongoing service contracts
  • Demonstrate expertise in troubleshooting both current and legacy Siemens automation systems
  • Drive exceptional customer satisfaction through responsive service delivery and proactive technical support
  • Coordinate work schedules with Service Supervisors and Project Managers, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Drive operational excellence while maintaining productivity targets.
  • Adhere to ISO9000 standards and company quality assurance procedures, contributing to the establishment of best practices inindustrial automation services.
  • Provide timely documentation including work reports, timesheets, and expense reports.
  • Build and nurture strong client relationships as a Siemens technology ambassador.

What will you need to succeed?

  • Post-secondary education in Electrical or Automation Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience delivering high-quality customer service in a similar role.
  • Automation Expert with expert working and programming knowledge of SIMATIC Hardware (S7-1200 and S7-1500) and software (TIA Portal V16 and above).
  • Experience with legacy Siemens systems (S7-300 / 400) and migration projects
  • Proficiency in PLC program development, engineering, and troubleshooting in SCL, LAD, and STL.
  • Experience in commissioning and on-site support, preferably within the context of industrial facilities.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Siemens HMI Hardware (Unified Comfort Panel) and software (SIMATIC WinCC Unified).
  • Experience with industrial communication protocols including Modbus TCP, OPC UA, PROFINET.
  • Hands-on experience with Simatic IPC, Industrial Edge, and Simatic RFID.
  • Working knowledge of Siemens SINAMICS low voltage drives including SINAMICS S- and G-family, and SINAMICS Starter commissioning tool.
  • Strong diagnostic and programming skills, with a proven track record of delivering innovative automation solutions.
  • Effective organizational and multitasking abilities, essential for managing the complexities of a dynamic production environment.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, with a passion for staying at the forefront of technological advancements in the field.
  • Proven track record of maintaining high customer satisfaction ratings in a technical service role
  • Experience in managing service contracts and emergency support scenarios
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Valid driver's license.
