Automation Lead Developer/Tech Lead - 74752

LOB: Personal and Business Banking

Duration: 6 Months (Possibility of extension)

Location: Remote

Role Mandate: We are looking for an enthusiastic and curious individual to join our Operation automation team. The team supports our Operations automation applications, including the automation that support core processing for our P&BB, Wealth and Collections accounts. We are looking for someone to join as an automation Lead developer, using UiPath, Python knowledge to automate business services. You will gain exposure to business processes.

Drives the overall software development lifecycle including working across functional teams to transform requirements into features, managing development teams and processes, and conducting software testing and maintenance. Specific project areas of focus include translating user requirements into technical specifications, writing code, and managing the preparation of design specifications. Supports system design, provides advice on security requirements, and debugs business systems and service applications. Applies deep knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and programming languages to develop high-quality technology applications and services— including tools, standards, and relevant software platforms based on business requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Work independently end to end, from automation feasibility, design, coding, testing, to deployment in automating processes in the automation tool.
  2. Translate user needs into technical specifications by understanding, conceptualizing, and facilitating technical requirements from users.
  3. Analyze, develop, test, and implement new software programs, documenting the entire software development life cycle.
  4. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and fault rectification of system and core software components.
  5. Ensure code/configurations adhere to security, logging, error handling, performance standards, and non-functional requirements.
  6. Evaluate new technologies for fit with the program/system/eco-system and assess impacts on process, data, and risk.
  7. Follow release management processes and standards, and apply version controls.
  8. Assist in interpreting and documenting client requirements.
  9. Focus primarily on the business/group within the bank; may have broader, enterprise-wide focus.
  10. Exercise judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
  11. Work independently on complex tasks, including unique situations.
  12. Perform broader work or accountabilities as needed.

Skills:

Advanced level of proficiency:
  • 7+ years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years hands-on experience with RPA tools and cognitive platforms such as UiPath, Python, PowerApps, etc.
  • Proficiency in automation development, programming, scripting, and testing.
  • System and technology integration skills.
  • Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience.
  • Experience as a developer and tech lead.
Foundational level of proficiency:
  • Creative thinking.
  • Building and managing relationships.
  • Quality assurance and testing.
  • Cloud computing.
  • Technology business requirements definition, analysis, and mapping.

Interview Process:

  1. First Round – 30-minute MS Teams interview with HM and other team members.
  2. The interview will include behavioral and situational questions.
