Job summary

Astra-North Infoteck Inc. is seeking an Automation Engineer focused on CMDB/Asset Management, Python and REST APIs in Calgary, AB. The role onsite requires strong automation, process governance, and IT Service Management experience.

You will develop, document and implement validation for discovered external assets, drive KPIs and SLAs, and collaborate with security tools to maintain accurate asset inventories and supporting operating models.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of IT service management and automation experience.
• Strong CMDB and asset management expertise.
• Experience with external asset discovery and attack surface management.

Responsibilities

• Automate IT service management processes and workflows.
• Lead projects and coordinate stakeholders.
• Apply ITSM best practices and governance.
• Maintain and verify CMDB and asset inventories.
• Utilize external discovery and attack surface tools to identify risks.
• Drive process governance and transformation initiatives.
• Define KPIs and SLAs for ongoing operations.
• Develop formal processes for validating assets against CMDB.
