Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in Toronto, Canada, is seeking a software professional to contribute to Global Payments Technology initiatives. You will help deliver automated testing, collaborate across teams, and contribute to modernization efforts in a fast-paced banking environment.

The role emphasizes hands‑on guidance while mentoring teams, with a focus on building scalable, secure payment systems and ensuring adherence to risk and compliance standards across day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

  • A recognized degree in engineering, computer science, math, related discipline or relevant experience.
  • 2+ years of software development experience.
  • Have experience in systems design and a solid understanding of development, quality assurance and integration methodologies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a software development team on tight deadlines.
  • Experience in JAVA related technologies and frameworks (Spring/Springboot Framework, J2EE, and JUnit).
  • Familiar with open-source CI/CD tools (Bitbucket/GIT, Jenkins, Artifactory, Gradle, Docker and Kubernetes).
  • Solid understanding of Test Automation framework and tools (Cucumber, and Citrus).

Responsibilities

  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.
  • Develop automation testing scripts that meet the needs of stakeholders while focusing on continually reducing technical debt.
  • Document and test new software applications.
  • Research, investigate and fix a wide range of technical issues.
  • Collaborate with cross functional team on the components to meet the performance requirements.
  • Collaborates to provide estimation and break down of work to enable small and frequent releases to production.
  • Actively participates in customer discovery and solution discovery sessions.
  • Participates in developing, testing, debugging, reviewing, merging, integrating, versioning, promoting, code through environments and version control.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with the company’s Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

The Role

Contributes to the overall success of the Global Payments Technology in Canada and globally ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed/delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensure all activities conducted are following governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
